I posted a notice a couple of weeks ago about my upcoming extended break. Now, I have an official deadline for accepting custom orders. It's next Friday, July 31st. Please place all orders by July 31 and I will ship them out within 7-14 days of your order. As a reminder, I may not take orders again until the new year due to a move and baby #2 arriving this Fall.

Upcoming Extended Break - ORDER NOW

If you are thinking about placing a Jackaroos order, please place it as soon as possible. Life is about to get a little...maybe a lot...crazy for us.

Jackaroos headquarters will be MOVING from Orlando to New Orleans in the next few weeks (August/September), so I won't be able to take any new custom orders during that time.

Then, I am due with BABY #2 in November, so I will need time to set up our new home before the baby arrives. I think my break will have to extend through my maternity leave.

I am still taking orders for the next few weeks, but once I go on break, I may not be open again for custom orders on my website until the end of the year. I'll update here and on my facebook page whenever I have a deadline for orders before my extended break. It'll probably be around AUGUST 1st.

I am also considering setting up an etsy shop that can remain open with some of my premade items during my break from custom orders, so I'll keep you posted on that.

Introducing CORDUROY dresses, john-johns and longalls!

I love corduroy for the colder months, especially the Chocolate Brown and Christmas Red that I've added to the Jackaroos collection. Both are baby wale corduroys (21 wale which is perfect for baby and toddler clothing).

I made my son longalls in each of these fabrics two years ago. They are very versatile. The brown is shown with a casual khaki onesie that matched it perfectly. The red is shown with a white collared polo shirt in one picture and with a very "Southern" big-collar monogrammed shirt, giving it two completely different looks.

Introducing Jackaroos Longalls

I am excited to debut Jackaroos Longalls just in time for the fall/winter season. These are made just like our john-johns, just longer. They are also lined and made with snaps at the crotch for easy diaper changes. If you'd prefer not to have the snaps (i.e. if the child is potty trained), just let me know in the special instructions.

Longalls can be made out of the same fabrics that the john-johns are made. Brown or red corduroy, alligator pique, cobalt blue pique, cowboy, sock monkey, firemen, rocket rascals and even the white linen or pique.

Break To Prepare For Fall/Winter Season

We have a new fabric. It's the Dick and Jane Play Lolli Dot fabric with multi colored dots on a white background. It's a gender neutral fabric which is perfect for boys, girls or someone waiting to find out.

The Dick and Jane Play Lolli Dot can be used for our bibs, burp cloths, blankets and loveys.

We also added the alligator pique as an option for the girls' a-line dresses. It was already an option for the boys' john-johns and would make a great brother/sister or twin set. Also a good choice for Florida Gators fans.

This is a great gift idea for someone who just found out they are pregnant. I remember my first baby gift like it was yesterday and the first personalized gift is even more memorable.

So if the parents-to-be have just announced they are expecting, consider getting just the last name monogrammed on the item. You can always get them a matching item like a bib or blanket monogrammed with the first name when they choose one or when the baby arrives.

Thanks to Mary Beth for her creativity when she ordered the Pastel Green Lovey. She chose black accents (Evan's monogram and ribbon loops) which came out so cute. I love taking pictures of the finished results. In fact, I've been sending pictures to customers who order custom gifts to be sent directly to the recipient. I'm excited to announce that I have a chic, new fabric. It's turquoise dandy damask and it's available for dresses, blankets, bibs, burp cloths and loveys.

Dandy damask is very trendy this season and I fell in love with this vibrant turquoise color. It's another great fabric for birthday parties, church, the beach, portraits and baby shower gifts.

The picture to the left is of the actual fabric. The picture on my website is the one from the online store, which makes it a little darker. I think my picture here and seeing it in person is so much cuter...more vibrant and more dainty for little girls.

Summer is in the air. Well at least it is here in Central Florida. How adorable is this hot pink dress with lime green accents! I have to give credit to Ava's mom, Jenn, for requesting pink and green. I was on a fabric buying freeze when she asked about it, but I immediately placed the fabric order and added it as a choice on Jackaroos Boutique. I love pink and green together and her request was just the nudge I needed.

The pique fabrics (white, hot pink, lime green and alligator) that were announced in the previous post came in today. However, the cobalt blue is currently on backorder. You can still place an order for the cobalt blue john-john, but it may take a couple of weeks for that fabric to come in, delaying the delivery of your order.

New Pique Fabrics

I've already added new fabrics for dresses and john-johns. Since so many of the fabrics were prints, I decided to add some solids. These are all high-quality pique fabrics. I love this fabric so much that I made my son two john-johns in the cobalt blue when he was younger.

Check out our new HOT PINK, LIME GREEN, COBALT BLUE, WHITE & ALLIGATOR PIQUE fabrics. These are on order and will be in at the beginning of next week (around 3/25). Please note that dresses and john-johns in these fabrics may take a few more days to ship out while I wait for the fabrics to be delivered.

What I love most is that you can get so many looks out of these colors. Try pink and green (one being the fabric and the other being the monogram & buttons) or the cobalt blue with either red, gold, orange, light blue or just about any other thread color.

The white pique is available for dresses and john-johns and would be perfect for portraits at the beach, the park or in studio. It would be great for wedding outfits too. The white can be monogrammed with any color thread - light pink or light blue, navy blue, etc.

It's finally here...LAUNCH DAY! Jackaroos Boutique is officially open for business. Feel free to read this blog from the bottom up to get an idea of what I've been up to for the past couple of months preparing to launch my online boutique.
